Your Life Will Change When You Get Really Good at Starting Over

Sometimes that’s the only skill you need

Sometimes the best-laid plans are just that: plans.

Life doesn’t always go along with what you want. It has its own plan, and sometimes it’s so far off your carefully crafted timeline that it catches you completely off guard and sends shock waves rippling through you.

You suddenly find yourself in very unfamiliar territory, struggling to stay afloat and wrap your head around a new reality that you never could have imagined.

There you were, merrily trucking along down the path you thought was your future, when suddenly, the path abruptly ends without any warning. Now, instead of enjoying your nice forest walk, you’re freefalling off a steep cliff.

If I’ve learned anything this year, it’s that life has a way of reminding us of who’s really in charge here. And it’s not us.

No matter how comfortable you get, how much you trust someone, or how carefully you plan out your life and attempt to execute those plans, there’s always the potential of a hurricane coming through and leaving your life in ruins.

I’m aware that this sounds completely depressing. But it’s not meant to be.
