What am I interested in?
I think this is one of the most important questions we can ask ourselves.
When I spent some time thinking deeply about this, the answer eventually came to me: humans!
I find people fascinating. I long to understand why they do what they do. I marvel over how they think about things, the thoughts that keep them stuck, or how they rise above them to live empowering, amazing lives that they once only dreamed of.
I’m fascinated by mindsets, limiting beliefs, and the whole gamut of human emotions and thoughts and interactions.
Yet, I’m a total introvert. People overwhelm me, overstimulate me, and make me want to run away and hide for a week.
Yes, it’s a contradiction. Yes, it’s puzzling, even to me.
But it’s the truth of who I am. So, I’m going to run with it!
I’m going to be as open and honest as I can be about my own experience of being human.
And because I’m an introvert and don’t always enjoy a ton of social interaction, I’m going to use myself as the guinea pig here.
