You Don’t Always Know What You’re Building, but That’s Half the Fun

“Don’t wait until you know who you are to get started.”

- Austin Kleon

Many successful bloggers and entrepreneurs have said that one of the best parts about what they’ve built is all the surprises that have emerged along the way.

Many of them never would have imagined doing what they’re doing now when they first started out. Many never dreamed of all the things they’d be able to accomplish or all the people they’d be able to reach when they were brand new to their thing, whatever it was.

They just started, and because of that initial decision, incredible things happened and surprising opportunities sprouted.

They’ve partnered with other creators or writers to launch products and courses; they’ve been featured in top publications and magazines across the web; they’ve landed book deals; they’ve become best-sellers; they’ve been invited onto podcasts and platforms much bigger than theirs.

All because they began doing something.

That could be the story you’re telling people someday. It could be the story I’m telling people too.
