The comment section is like a Petri dish for humanity.
The longer you write on the internet, the more likely you are to come across all kinds of people with such varying opinions on what you’ve written, it’ll be enough to make your head spin!
Most of the time, I love reading the comments I get. I even wrote about the comment section being the one social media metric you should pay attention to, because when you get positive feedback from your readers, it’s the best feeling in the world. You’re reminded of why you’re doing this writing thing, and you’re compelled to keep going.
It’s confirmation that your words do matter. Your stories are helping people in some way, whether by motivating or inspiring them, reminding them that they’re worthy and enough, giving them some tough love and a friendly kick in the butt, or just helping them feel seen and understood.
