My Favourite Feature of the Calm App Is No Longer the Meditation Sessions

I’ve had the Calm app for a couple of years, mainly using it for meditation sessions from time to time.

Tamara Levitt’s Daily Calm has been a favourite of mine, and I’ll go through phases of doing a 10-minute session every morning. Her voice is just so calming. (Haha.)

Although the app offers all kinds of things, from meditations to sleep stories to short masterclasses to music, I’d never really dived into the depths of it. I don’t know why. I guess I felt there was no need to. I’d downloaded the app for the purpose of meditation, and that was all I used it for.

Until yesterday.

Although we all want to feel relaxed and at peace in our homes, that’s not always the case.

Neighbours can have a huge impact on how calm we feel and how much we enjoy our downtime. Others can also greatly influence our ability to focus and get work done. If, like me, you’re someone who needs a quiet and calm environment in order to get down to work, then even the slightest bit of disruption can lead to a feeling of overwhelm and frustration.

When the kids that live in the apartment underneath you spend most of the weekend…
