How to Get People to Love Your Writing
No tricks involved
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the saying that goes, Whatever you want from others, give that to yourself first.
So, if you want other people to love reading your work, then shouldn’t you also love it?
How can you make sure that you love what you write?
You write about things that interest you!
Write about things that lift you up, give you wings, make you dream, help you learn, make you think, and make you want to be better.
Whether that’s a documentary you just watched, a conversation with a friend, a podcast series, a meditation, an email you just read, or a thought you had while petting your dog, go after it!
When you write from a place of inspiration and energy and passion, it shows in your writing.
Your words come to life. They reach out and pull the reader in, beckoning them to join you right where you’re at. It’s like inviting them into your world and showing them where you were when you wrote it.
I forget where I read this, but I remember the message clearly. It went something like, “If you can make people feel something, you’ll never struggle as a writer.”
