Every Day Isn’t Going to Be Great, But That’s Okay
This being human thing is really hard
Some days, it’s like you’re treading water all day, just trying to get through the day.
The chores and responsibilities just keep piling up and piling up until it’s dinnertime again. And then the dreaded question of what to have for dinner rears its ugly head.
On days like this, life doesn’t seem all that joyful. You try so hard to get everything done and get all your ducks in a row to start the work week off on the right foot, all with the hope of relaxing later on and doing something “fun.”
You tell yourself that if you can get the Airbnb you own cleaned and get your laundry done and get your writing done and clean up your place a little, then maybe later you can go to the beach or go for a nice walk or find a new movie to watch and eat some popcorn.
But then all of these things take much longer than you thought, and the day passes much more quickly than you can fathom. It’s like time just slips through the cracks and vanishes. How did it suddenly get to be 8:00?
When every day seems to be the same, you wonder where the fun has gone.
Life just seems like work. In fact, it’s all work and no play.
