What Airbnb has taught me about success
It’s funny. I always thought it would be writing that would show me what’s really possible in life.
But something else beat it to the punch.
I’ve recently been through a very different entrepreneurship experience that has completely opened my eyes to the way things work and to the laws of the universe.
It’s really been the first time in my life that something has been so clear, so obvious.
As it’s still fresh, I’m finding it all hard to believe. I have to pinch myself every time a new instant booking comes in through Airbnb, because it just seems surreal.
I keep asking myself, Did we really manage to pull this off? How is it possible that this is really happening?

Last August, my husband and I bought an old farmhouse in a small town located in Ontario’s cottage country. We got it for what we thought was a screaming deal considering house prices at the time, but we also understood why it was priced so low: it needed to be completely redone.
