At some point in our lives, we all find ourselves in a bit of a rut.

It may not be huge, but it’s just deep enough to keep us stuck there, feeling helpless.

It doesn’t always happen because you’re going through a hard time. Sometimes nothing terrible has happened to put you there; it’s just that nothing has happened at all.

That place of feeling uninspired and unmotivated can creep up on you. If you’ve been sleepwalking for a while, it may scare the life out of you when you finally do wake up and notice it.

You suddenly wonder, How long have I been living like this!?

I’ve discovered that whenever I start feeling this way, it’s almost always because I’ve lost my sense of curiosity and adventure. I’ve stopped learning and growing, and I’ve lost my desire to experience new things.

Basically, I’ve stopped moving forward. I’ve stopped living.

However, living my life complacently is pretty much the last thing I want to do.

If you feel the same way, that’s great! It means you actually want to live your life, as opposed to just watching it flash by.
